Like Father Like Son(s)

Even though Reid still does a lot of crying these days, he is beginning to smile and coo more when he's in a better mood. I wanted to add this picture so you don't think he cries 100% of the time....it's only about 90%! :)

2 Years

Two years ago today, after 30 hours of labor, 3 hours of pushing, some minor complications and finally, an unplanned c-section, Landon Taylor was brought into our lives. He was 7 pounds and 11 ounces of perfection, with his signature chubby cheeks and his Daddy’s long eyelashes. He was absolutely beautiful and we couldn't wait to get him home and start our lives together as a family of 3!

Landon has such a sweet personality. However, there are some days when the “terrible two’s” gets the best of him. He is an independent little guy who loves to explore! He is an excellent big brother and loves to smother Reid in kisses. We're still working on how to do this gently. We've been so blessed that our first born has always been an excellent sleeper! He hardly ever cries when he has to take a nap or go to bed. If he's not ready to fall asleep he will just talk to himself or play until he does. We hope baby brother will have this wonderful trait as well. Landon has learned MANY new words over the last few weeks. He's constantly surprising us with what all he knows and understands!

We wouldn’t trade the last two years for anything and feel so blessed that God has entrusted this precious little boy to us. Happy Birthday Sweet Landon!! We Love You!!

Elmo Extravaganza!

This past Saturday we celebrated Landon's 2nd Birthday! It was Elmo-Mania!! We had a great time with family and friends. The party included hotdogs, cake, a bounce house, a sand table, fun and fellowship. Landon wants to thank everyone who attended. Although we're not sure he was aware it was all for him, we know he really enjoyed the day! Here are a few pictures from our celebration!

Behind The Scenes

I want to thank my very talented bro-in-law, Matthew, for taking our newest header picture! It was very creative and I love the way it turned out. It's such a sweet depiction of the love our little family of four shares. However, here is a behind-the-scenes look at what was really happening during this photo shoot. Notice what Landon is doing to his little brother and check out Reid's reaction....makes a mother so proud!

First Smiles & More

Reid has had a couple of really good days lately. He's starting to be more awake and alert and is beginning to coo and smile a little...my favorite!! He sat in his chair this morning for about 45 minutes and gave me some of the sweetest smiles. I tried to capture a few of these on camera. Of course, it always seems the best smiles you can't catch quick enough but here are a couple!

We've had a week with the Thompson's now and are still enjoying every loud and crazy minute of it! The boys are learning how to share and get a long with each other. It's a good thing we still have some time to work on these concepts! Here are a few more pictures of the past week!

Now that the Thompsons are here, there always seems to be a camera flash going off. Since our time is precious with them we're determined to capture these sweet moments.
