Flash Forward to 2025

These boys will be behind the wheel for REAL! S.C.A.R.Y!
Landon is already practicing his 10 and 2, while Reid's hair is reminding me that a convertible may not be the car for him.
Landon will clearly be our defensive driver as he is checking his blind spot, but Reid is too caught up in his driving music to even keep his hands on the wheel!
"Hey bro, who's the cutie in the pink barbie four-wheeler?"

M-Crew Sightings

Here are a couple of places that our crew has been spotted recently:

The Little Gym
Saturday evening we went to The Little Gym to celebrate Korben's 2nd birthday! We had a blast!! Thanks for inviting us sweet Korben!
Our little gymnast
Parachute time!
The Birthday Boy!
CAKE!
Stonebriar Mall
Monday morning we headed back to Frisco! We decided to take the boys to Stonebriar Mall and walk around since once again it was too cold to be outside. We let Landon play in the indoor play area. I also had some birthday money I was going to try to spend....of course I managed to find something for the boys. Landon got a Handy Manny CD and Reid got a couple of outfits!
Reid enjoyed a snack while Landon played. He was locked on to these puffs. I felt like we should have put them on his nose and told him not to eat them until we gave him the command....
Success!
OK, quick story about the picture above. We went to a store called Indoor Safari Park. Overall it was a neat little store with cute toys. There was one section that had a little cars & trains table that kids could play on and then there was this fenced off section that had a robotic horse or dinosaur that kids could ride for $3. We watched one little girl ride it and I must say it was a little creepy. It sounded way too electronic (squeaky, etc.) and then it also attempted to make horse sounds. The best part was when the lady went to turn off the horse....let's just say she had to lift the horse's tail to get to the switch! Why would you put the on/off button there?!? We opted for the carousel instead!
Landon was NOT happy when it was time to leave!

Have You Had Your Fiber Today?

My personal favorite...
The last few weeks I've been really working at getting some good pics of the boys together. I guess from one attempt to the next I seem to forget that this is impossible. We were getting them dressed up for a birthday party and thought we'd give it another shot. As expected, it didn't really turn out. Although the first picture below is adorable, any picture that required both boys to actually look at the camera and half-way seem excited to do so was NOT going to happen. But, we did get some cute individual ones! Why does it always seem to work like that?

Patience

While I know this might not be too interesting to many of you reading this, I wanted to write it down as a special memory of my sweet Landon.

THE SCENE: Reid is crying in the playroom as it approaches time for his morning cereal. I am in the kitchen preparing said cereal when Landon comes up to me.

Landon: "Joo, Joo?"

Mommy: "You want some Juice?"

Landon: "OK!" This is Landon's way of saying "yes."

Mommy: "Well, you're going to have to wait just a minute because mommy is making the baby's cereal."

Landon: Singing, "Have patience, have patience, don't be in such a hurry..." While his words weren't as clear as they are written here, I knew exactly what he was singing!

Needless to say he got a BIG cup of juice and a high-five!
My sweet Landon, you are such a booger sometimes, but oh how you melt Mommy's heart with your sweetness!

The McGrew Do

I don't know what it is, but I feel like I'm raising the next mayors of Whoville! Apparently there's a special hair-control gene that our children are missing or I drank WAY too much Dr. Pepper when I was pregnant. Either way, the McGrew Do is all naturale! This seriously happens all on its own!

Got Wiggles?

Around the McGrew house we're always looking for ways to "get our wiggles out" or, release some of that crazy toddler energy that we have a lot of around here! One of our favorite places to do this is outside! Even though it's still a little cold, the sun has made an appearance the last couple of days making the outdoors seem a little more inviting. However, our backyard is ANYTHING but inviting right now...
We certainly won't be getting our wiggles out there anytime soon! I was told by a couple of friends about the The Wiggly Play Center. What would be a more perfect location to get our wiggles out, than at a place with "Wiggly" in its name! This morning we packed up the boys and headed to Frisco! We had a blast and would definitely recommend it to anyone with children over 1! See below for a coupon to use on your first visit (exp. 12/2010). After your first visit, you can use your child's arm band to get in at a discounted price!
Landon's favorite thing to do was slide...and he must have done it 500 times! At first, he was a little hesitant and would only go down on his tummy.
Reid even got in on some of the slide action!
Eventually Landon warmed up and started sliding down like this! What an action shot!
They had a little room for kids 0-18 months. Reid and I spent a little bit of time there where he enjoyed playing with the bead maze.
Check out those 2 new teeth!
Mission accomplished!

By the way....except for the drive, the Wiggly Play Center gets a 5 crayon rating! :)

Deal of the Day

I wouldn't consider myself a true bargain hunter, but I do get all sorts of excited when I come across a good deal! Today I found this fun guitar on sale for $4.99 at Walgreens! Even though we noticed a few small quirks and it's not made with the highest quality material, it does have some neat features. You can jam out on the whammy bar, record your own songs and play them back and even change the tempo. It comes with 3 song cards and a strap. Even though the last thing my boys need is ANOTHER toy, I thought this was definitely a good find. Landon sure enjoys it! Now, let's see how long it lasts in the hands of my fiesty 2 1/2 year old...
After realizing that what I wrote above sounded like I was asked to review this toy, I thought I would add the following:
Mommy McGrew gives the Electronic Guitar 4 out of 5 crayons!
