Tee-Tee Boot Camp

Guess who's potty training?
The thought of potty training has always made me a little nervous. It's so easy to compare your children to others their age. For instance, my nephew who is 2.5 months younger than Landon has been potty trained for several weeks now. I haven't been in a rush with Landon because I've always read that forcing it when your child isn't ready will only worsen the situation. Landon was slowly starting to show some signs and we were doing little things here and there to encourage him to use the potty. But it wasn't anything too hard core...until a week ago. We sent Landon to NiNi's Tee-Tee Boot Camp. My mom decided to get the ball rolling by having Landon stay at her house and start the process. I must admit, I had my doubts and wasn't sure how successful he would be. I think he surprised us all with how well he did in a short amount of time. I would even venture to say that he's 100% successful at home. Obviously night and nap-time will take a little longer and we're still having some issues when we go out, but I think that for only being a week, he's doing so good and we're very proud of him! Even though Reid still has a ways until we even think about potty training for him, I couldn't resist trying some camo underwear on him.
Can you believe these 2 came from the same set of genes?
Even though potty training for Reid is not in the near future, he did take one step closer to becoming a big boy tonight! He had his very last formula bottle! No more bottles in the McGrew house!!
Landon decided to be the photographer for once.
These are some of Landon's sayings we hear a lot more often now that potty training is in session...

"Landon tee-tee (or poo-poo) in the potty!"
"No tee-tee in unnerwears!"
"I get canny???" (candy)
"Open the light." (turn on the light in the bathroom)

And my favorite.....
"It's comin'!!"

Tying the Knot

Did anybody else create a wedding website using theknot.com when they got engaged? While I didn't put too much detail into it, like any other newly engaged girl, I was overcome with giddiness and made one for me and Aaron....probably the night we got engaged (or maybe even before)! I was surprised to see that it still exists. Feel free to check it out HERE. I love how it says that we've been newlyweds for 1,826 days. Aaron and I have been married for 5 years as of today!  A lot has transpired in the last few years and, without getting too mushy, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It's amazing to see where we have come since 2005. I know God still has great things in store for our family and I look forward to each new adventure! These are some pictures from our honeymoon to Jackson Hole, WY and Yellowstone! Happy Anniversary Honey! I love you!

Have You Heard The Buzz?

Reid turned 1! It feels like we've been celebrating for a while now, but we wrapped it all up with a bug-themed party this past weekend with family. We had a great time and are looking forward to seeing what year #2 brings for our sweet Reid!

Fone Pics Friday

One day last week we packed a lunch and headed for a family outing. We were looking for something new, but in-expensive. We headed to Children's Medical Center to look at the BIG train set they have set up in one of the lobbies. It was really neat and the boys enjoyed it. Children's also has a couple of outside play areas that are shaded so we found one that had a table so we could eat lunch and then let the boys play for a bit! I took my regular camera with me but then realized my memory card was not in it. So, the phone camera came to the rescue....once again!

Celebrating A Year - Part 1

This past weekend we celebrated Reid's birthday with two of his other July birthday buddies from church. We had a blast at the spray park and look forward to celebrating once again this coming weekend with family.
Reid got to enjoy some birthday donut holes...actually he enjoyed about 4 of them!
Landon was not too fond of the spray park last year, but LOVED very second of it this time!
