LANDONKART Wii

This is a video that Uncle Jeffie took on a family camping trip in May 08'. He recently edited it to make Landon a part of his very own Mariokart Wii race (one of our favorite family activites). Enjoy!

Landon's Saturday Workout

I didn't really have anything to write about, but wanted to share some pics from last Saturday. The first ones are Landon at the The Little Gym enjoying a fun morning with his good buddy, Luka. The last pics are at home in the backyard. It was an active day for our little boy! Clicking on any of the pictures should make them bigger.

Landon did not particularly enjoy this activity....about 2 seconds after this picture was taken, he was in tears!!
Luka & Landon. This was the only good pic of the boys that came out...Landon is a little fuzzy!

Toddler or Teenager?

Landon's eating habits have been very finicky lately. Some days he'll eat hardly anything and other days he can't seem to get enough! I'm assuming this is perfectly normal(?). I'm always amazed at how much food he can eat some days. I mean, he's only 21.5 lbs (not big at all for almost 16 months). This is what he "packed away" for dinner tonight: 1 container of Gerber Graduates chicken stew with noodles, about 15 cheetoes, 1 whole banana, 2 Gerber Graduates fruit bars, and 1 1/2 sippy cups of milk. And I'm sure he would have kept going had we put more food in front of him! Maybe it's just me....but how does such a little tummy hold all that?

Bring on more food mom!!
One happy....and full....little boy!

Singin' the Preggo Blues

You gotta be sick and tired of being sick and tired. This is a saying that my husband told me over and over as I was in labor with Landon not so long ago. At the time, I didn't really appreciate it. But, today I used the saying myself because it has become very true. I can't really complain because I know it could be a lot worse! My biggest issue is not feeling like I can take care of my very active 15 month old, giving him the attention he needs and deserves. Fortunately, I have a wonderful husband who not only works 40 hours a week, but comes home and takes care of me, Landon and household chores. For that, I am truly thankful and blessed! And, he does it joyfully....at least in front of me! :) Here are some of the highlights of this pregnancy so far:

1. Eating Corn or Rice Chex cereal every meal on some days (because it doesn't smell).
2. "Losing my breakfast" in the Chick-fil-A parking lot.
3. Having to buy fragrance free deodorant because the smelly ones make me sick.
4. Losing 5 lbs.
5. Staying in my PJ's all day.

I wasn't near this sick feeling when I was first pregnant with Landon. I wonder if I might be carrying a hormonal little girl who is only adding to the nausea frenzy! Guess we'll see! :)

Our Little Outdoorsman

So, we may have jumped the gun on this project, but we got a little "outdoor happy" with the couple of 75 degree days we had. Landon loves being outside and although we've known this for a while, we were reminded one day recently when Aaron took him out to check the mail (after being cooped up inside all day). Landon started bawling when they came back in. We did a test and walked outside a couple more times and the same thing happened when we headed towards the door to go in. So, we decided to give Landon a backyard play set! Of course, the only thing he can do right now is swing, but I know it will only seem like a moment passes before he is able to use the whole thing.
The boys workin....
Landon already testing it out.

But the real test is much more fun!

The final product

Of course, today it's 35 degrees outside. But it sure looks fun from the window. Hurry up Spring!
