Our Wind-Up Toddler

I was so excited about the beautiful weather we had this past Thursday that I thought we would go for a fun, family picnic to the park. The weather was beautiful....but boy was it windy! We had a great time though and I'm looking forward to more of those warm days. Our little Landon loves to be outside and he is a boy ON THE GO! You'd think he was a wind-up toy the way he moves after putting him down. Here are a few pictures from our day!
Landon on the move!
Check out that form! Doesn't he look like a mini power-walker?

Getting rosy cheeks from playing so hard!
Doing what little boys do best!

Cinderfella

Apparently Landon went to the Ball late last night, because he woke up this morning sporting an off-the-shoulder look. He still has sleepy eyes from all that fun!

In Memory of Charlie Chameleon

In elementary school (3rd or 4th grade) I was one of the few lucky students who got to take home one of the class pets, a chameleon who I named Charlie. It wasn't really a class pet actually, it was more of an ongoing science lesson where we watched the chameleons for a few weeks to learn about their characteristics, habitat, etc. I loved Charlie dearly. One day I thought he might enjoy some extra sunshine. So, I put his little plastic carrier in the window sill and off I went with my family for a fun day at the lake! You can probably guess what happened when I returned home that afternoon. Charlie was no more. I was devastated! Little did my teacher know I had learned another very important science lesson that day....chameleons need to stay hydrated and glass acts as a magnifier for the heat and sun. Today Landon and I went outside after lunch to enjoy this beautiful weather and we found Charlie Jr. I made sure to pass on my knowledge of chameleons to my son, although he may need some reminders down the road. I just hope he doesn't have to remember the hard way!

I was surprised that jr. never ran off even with Landon banging on the table and rocking it back and forth.

The Lost Sheep

I'm sure you can tell by now that Uncle Jeff enjoys video recording and editing. His latest short film, The Lost Sheep, shows lots of talent in front of the camera and behind it. It is a few minutes long, but will be worth your time!

The Days Go By....Slowly!

Aaron posed the following question to me the other day. "Is it just me, or does this pregnancy seem to be going by a lot slower than the last one?" As much as I really wanted to shout, "YOU THINK??", I thought of other reasons why it might be going slower this time around. For example, we already have a little one to chase around, I'm not working this time, or maybe since this is our 2nd pregnancy (even though we are just as excited about having another baby) it's not as new so we should know what to expect. Boy was I wrong. I'm still feeling pretty sick even at 13.5 weeks and don't have an appetite for anything other than Ensure drinks and cheerios. We've had a minor complication which turned out to be OK, but it will continue to be monitored. NONE of this happened with Landon. Aaron is convinced that we are having a little girl. In fact, several people have told me that. I'm pretty sure there is no medical proof behind this which is why I will not be convinced until I see that sono for myself and hear it from the technician's mouth. However, I would love to know what you think. I have placed a poll on the right side of the site. Please let us know your opinion. Of course, we are going to be excited no matter what God blesses us with, but I have a feeling this one will be a bit of a drama queen OR king! :)

Here are some random pictures:

Hmmm, I wonder what lives in the drawer above me
What banana??
