I guess we haven't done anything interesting enough to post about lately...either that, or I've just been lazy with the blog. I was also given a "gentle" reminder that an update was needed! :) We've enjoyed the warmer weather and are excited to be able to spend more time outside. Here are some random pictures that have been taken since the beginning of the month!

A couple of weeks ago the boys were getting really stir-crazy so I decided to do something we've never done before! Knowing that they would absolutely love it, I got out some shaving cream. Well, it was actually shaving gel and it had a lovely floral smell to it, but the boys didn't seem to mind. A half a can of shaving gel and 2 minutes later all I had was a table full of shaving cream, 1 frustrated momma and 2 discouraged little boys. They didn't at all enjoy this activity! Landon barely got any on his finger before he was done with the project (he's my OCD child). I thought for sure Reid would appreciate it more, but alas, he did not! Oh well!
I know it looks like he's having fun...but this literally lasted maybe 60 seconds before he was fussy!
I made Jambalya for Fat Tuesday.
3-4 Chicken Breasts
1 Pckg. turkey sausage (sliced)
2 cans diced tomato
2-3 tablespoons Franks hot sauce
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1/3 cup chopped jarred roasted red pepper
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped red or green pepper
1/2 cup chicken broth
1-2 cups rice
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Salt to taste
Place chicken breasts and sliced turkey sausage in crock pot. Mix all other ingredients together in a bowl and pour in crock pot. Cook on low for 5-6 hours. 30 minutes before meal time, shred chicken and return to pot. Pour jambalaya mixture over cooked rice.
I love being a "boy" mom!
Ms. Alissa told the boys to give a "thumbs up." Luke knew what that was but apparently Landon wasn't certain...
