Soccer Mom

It's official...I'm a soccer mom! As an all-boy family we have finally entered the world of sports...although I'm not sure how long we'll stay there! :) Landon started his first season of soccer! He really seems to enjoy it, although the practices and games are more controlled chaos than anything. It's a hard concept for 4 year olds to understand that it's now OK to take someone's ball away...but only with your feet...and only if they're not on your team. So much to learn! At least the important thing right now is to have fun! We'll keep working on the soccer skills too! His team pictures are this weekend!

Micah Update

Since my last post was when Micah was around 2 months old (now 4.5 months), I thought I would update on our littlest guy. Micah continues to do very well and is growing and progressing just as he should. At his four month appt. he weighed 12 lbs. 13 oz. and was 24 inches. While he remains in the 5th-10th percentile for both these measurements, the doctor is very pleased with his progress, even compared to a full-term baby. He is still fairly colicky, although we've seen some *slight* improvements over the last few days (fingers crossed!). He is currently on his 3rd medication for reflux as we have tried to figure out what causes him to cry so fiercly. We are just praying that his system continues to grow and mature and he will outgrow this uncomfortable stage very soon! Micah is smiling, cooing and laughing a bit more...although it's still hard to capture on camera. He has beautiful long lashes and blue eyes like his brothers, however, his are a bit more mysterious to me! :) He can roll from his tummy to his back but it's usually not on purpose...mostly when he's having a fit of rage. He is still only drinking formula. We will wait until closer to 5 or 6 months to start cereal or baby food. He just started wearing size 2 diapers and wears size 3-6 month clothes. He is a drool monster and we constantly keep a bib on him to salvage his clothes as much as possible! He still has a small hernia on his belly button (which is currently an outtie) that was caused from the lines that were run through the opening where the umblilical cord came off in the NICU. Micah has the sweetest little voice (his non-screaming voice) and the cutest laugh. We can't wait until more of his little personality begins to shine through! He doesn't have as much hair as he did when he was born (except a small patch that is long on the top of his head) but he seems to be hanging on to that beautiful strawberry-blond color!

Dallas Zoo

Last week my whole family took a trip to the zoo! We had a blast! Last time the Thompson's were here we took our THREE kids to the Fort Worth Zoo. This time we had SIX kids to tote around!

Easter 2012

Wow! In the 3-4 years I've been doing this blog I've NEVER gone two months without posting anything! It was a much needed break as life has been a bit chaotic but I will do my best to resume regular posting as this blog is serving as our family scrapbook! I just recently got in our second book...I've printed 2009 and 2010 and am hoping to work on 2011 when they have another blog book sale! :) I have also noticed that the more kids you have the harder it is to have a free hand to take pictures! But, please continue coming back as I will be adding a few posts to try and catch up the last couple of months!

The Thompsons are back in the states! Woo Hoo! They came home at the end of February and we got to enjoy several weeks with them. They recently left for Michigan for a few weeks to spend some time with Matthew's family!

We had a wonderful Easter this year! We participated in the church Easter egg hunt, which was fun, but short! We also enjoyed a wonderful service that evening. On Easter Sunday, we had lunch at MiMi and Grandy's followed by another egg hunt for the kiddos. It started to sprinkle on us as they began their hunt but thankfully we got it done before the rain got too bad!

Seeing what the Easter bunny brought!

We were married in 2005 and have been best friends ever since. Now we're raising three little boys and are loving every minute of it. We are constantly learning about the character of God through marriage, parenting and daily life!
