Road Trip!

A couple of weeks ago we headed out on our first road trip as a family of FIVE! Packing for 5 is no fun and it stresses me out greatly...but, we did have a wonderful time and it was well worth it! Our first stop was Waco, where the Thompsons had just moved to the day before. We stayed for a couple of hours to check our their new place and grab some lunch! Our next stop was College Station for some serious McMelton fun!!

Our next stop was Seguin, to see PaPa, Eg, Abby and Austin! We always enjoy our stay and visit there!

 Unfortunately our time came to an end and we had to head home...what's even more unfortunate is that we had to deal with this on the way back...

We're so thankful for the wonderful memories we created on this trip! Thanks to all who allowed this crazy family to stay in your home...I hope you've been able to clean up after the McGrew wake! :)

Reid is THREE!

This past Monday (the 9th) our Reid turned 3! He didn't really request any specific party theme but only asked for an airplane cake...which MiMi made sure he had! Reid is fun-loving but hard-headed. We love him so much and are so thankful for the personality and characteristics God has given him! He is our little class clown and keeps us laughing a good bit. He just recently started having some fears...like being afraid of thunder and always thinking there are spiders in his bed. It's neat to hear Landon try to comfort him by repeating some of the things we have told him over the last couple of years when he gets scared. Landon and Reid are true best friends...they get along very well but have their typical, occasional, brother fights. The biggest accomplishment for Reid as he enters his 4th year of life is that he is now wearing big boy underwear! Because of his stubbornness it took him a little longer to potty-train than Landon. He still has the occasional accident, but overall is doing very well and we are so proud!
