We arrived home from Waco around 3:30 PM on Thursday, unpacked, repacked and then headed to
Hamlin at 9:00 AM Friday morning. This was the weekend of Hamlin's homecoming (the town my mom grew up in). But what made it an extra special time was that my mom had been nominated for Coming Home Queen of her class. This was her 40th High School reunion. So, my Mom, Dad, all 5 of us and all 5 of the Thompsons headed west for the weekend! The weather was wonderful, the festivities were fun and the food was fabulous! What a great weekend to get away to the country!
Friday night was the football game. We surprised my mom with these fun shirts for the kids to wear to the game (the Pied Piper is the mascot).

Some of us (who wouldn't take a nap) couldn't stay awake...
Besides the homecoming acitivities, our favorite thing to do was play outside...and we especially enjoyed the 4-wheelers!

Yep, we're in the country...
Saturday morning was the homecoming parade...the kids really enjoyed this...especially since candy was thrown at them the entire time!
Patiently waiting...
