2012 Ornaments

I absolutely love having a Christmas tree that is personalized with ornaments that all have special meaning to our family! We do have some "filler" ornaments on the tree but as we continue to expand our collection those will be replaced with much more precious ones! I just wanted to share some of our ornaments that have been added this year! Check out THIS post that I wrote 3 years ago about some other special family ornaments!

I love having the boys pick a new ornament each year that represents something they are interested in at that time! I will then write the year somewhere on the ornament. I know in many years it will be so neat to reminisce about the things they enjoyed as kids! This year we got 2...Jake (from Jake and The Neverland Pirates) and a helicopter! G-Pa would be proud!

 The boys and I collected pinecones from a recent camping trip. We then "spruced" them up and made them ornaments!

 Landon made this at school...pardon the long over-due manicure! :-/

 The next 4 are handmade by myself...I normally don't add so many in one year but I got a little crazy I guess!

Family Pictures...It's been a while!

So, when I went to pick Landon up from school on Tuesday, his teacher informs me that they need a 4x6 family picture from each student for a project (insert panic look here). Would you like to see our last (intentional) family picture? Click HERE! By intentional, I mean we got dressed up and planned to take some pictures...not a random shot of all of us. As you can see, it's been a while! So, thankfully Landon's school assignment inspired a little family photo shoot. We took many pictures, but as usual, only a handful actually turned out decent! Thanks to MiMi for actually doing the snappin'! :)

 When we went camping a few weeks ago, we collected some pinecones. This past week we sparkled them up and made them ornaments!

 All boy...wants to sleep in his underwear and doesn't let go of his car, even in the midst of a deep slumber!
