There is a nasty rumor that’s gone around claiming that before Landon was born I went through around 5 bedding sets and made Aaron paint the room a couple of times before making a final decision on the nursery décor. This is, of course, only a rumor! Here are the bedding sets we have chosen for the boys. I decided that since baby Reid will be getting lots of hand-me-downs over the years, we would give him his own, new nursery set. Hopefully, these will be the two sets we actually end up with, but stay tuned to see how much pregnancy hormones affect our final outcome!

What A Headache!

It started out as an innocent game of "Mommy chases Landon" but it turned into Landon's 1st real head injury. Like most toddlers, Landon doesn't have perfect balance yet. He was running back and forth in the playroom and went full-force and head-first into the window sill. It's such a sad sight when your sweet baby is having the time of his life, laughing and playing with you and then BAM! Being an over-reactor, I was a little freaked out! Aaron was away on a camping trip, but thankfully level-headed NiNi was there to think to put an ice pack on it. It was turning into quite a knot, but the ice seemed to really help!

Landon wants to say thank you to Pah Pah, Grandma Meg, Aunt Abby and Uncle Austin for his new table! Grandma Meg and Aunt Abby were so creative and did a wonderful job painting! Guess we'll have to put brother's name on the other chair! We're hoping to announce his name soon! :~)

Little Wheel Watcher

Several posts ago, I made a comment about how Landon was captivated by the Proactiv commercial. Well, although it still gets his attention every now and then, he has moved on to bigger and better TV. His new favorite show is Wheel of Fortune. He will usually sit on the floor in front of the TV or stand against the couch and watch the whole show. He might walk around during commercials, but he is usually back in Wheel watching position soon enough. Sometimes he even claps when the audience does....so cute!

Sinus Misery

My eldest son (doesn't that sound weird?) has been fighting a sinus infection this past week. He still has some congestion and a runny nose, but since he's been on antibiotics he seems to be feeling better. When I woke up Thursday and couldn't breathe thru my nose I assumed I had probably come down with the same thing. However, being pregnant, I am hesitant to take a lot of medication. After all, I already feel like I haven't given this poor little guy the best start in life because of how sick I've been! After a couple of sleepless nights and rough days I broke down and tried a couple of things but haven't found a lot of relief. I've also turned to some non-medicated solutions such as saline spray and the Neti-Pot. Have you ever tried this? It's pretty interesting! Unfortunately, it seemed that I was so swollen that it didn't work quite like it was supposed to. I've given it about 3 or 4 tries but with no real relief. As if I wasn't already having enough trouble eating, now everything really tastes funny! So, I feel that I'm back to square one with the eating issue. If anyone has any suggestions, I will gladly try anything, so long as it's safe during pregnancy! Gotta go get a kleenex....

Snips & Snails...

It looks like there's going to be double trouble in the McGrew home! Landon is going to have a little brother! We have a delivery date tentatively scheduled for July 31, 2009. Of course, still being so early, this can change as the time draws near. It probably won't be later than this date though. We are very excited about another little boy! Sometimes I think, could I really be doing this all over again? Other times I think how truly blessed I am to be doing this again! As rough as these first few months have been (and I mean R.O.U.G.H) I know all of that will disappear when we meet our 2nd little guy! I have been feeling better just in the last few days. I've been able to eat more which is such an answer to prayer, but we're still taking it a day at a time.
